Array ( [sid] => 55650 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Missing you [time] => 2004-07-10 21:25:39 [hometext] => This is one i wrote after I found out that my best friend had commited suicide. [bodytext] => The day you went missing it felt like part of me died. We did everything together we basically lived with one another. Its like we were connected at the hip. No matter what we were doing we were always as one. When people would see one of us they could just assume that the other one was close. When we were distant we continued to talk, and reflect about each other. You left without saying one ultimate goodbye or one last I love you. I never got to catch a glimpse of you ascending up those gleaming, luminous, glassy, white stairs to cloud nine. What happened that you couldn't talk to me? I told you my deepest, darkest private moment then you unexpectedly couldn't talk to me anymore. You witnessed me being raped. Now that your gone I sit thinking if I had tried a little harder to get you to talk to me. I might be able to see that exquisite smile I loved a little longer. I would be able to watch you walk across that stage in the football field on graduation day. You would be so proud. Day after day I am tempted to pick up the phone and dial your number wishing that this was all a horrendous hallucination. You'll pick up, come over and wipe my tears away with your hand as you have done so many times before. Why did you have to go so soon? I wasn't prepared for you to leave. I cherished you Robbie. Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
