"I'M COMPLETELY INNOCENT!"

I dedicate this poem to all we poor ladies
Those, that ever had their hearts broken.
By one of those heart breaking "Honeys!"
We did nothing wrong, swear by Heaven!

This is a rebuttal to your poem dear Norm
Going back, remembering his love was not lukewarm!
I do recall everything as clear as you can get!
Not born yesteryear, I can recall, I'm no nitwit!

I looked at him really good that's for sure
Tall, suntanned, muscle bound, and very trim...........(sigh)
Big blue eyes like the sky, gazing at me with grandeur!
An inspection, but not to see if I was slim?

Recapturing every moment of the good times.
(Sometimes I can't remember what rhymes!)
Such rapture, such gratification, and satisfaction!
A young man with a definite plan of action!

We were closely entwined like a zipper.
Dr. Jeckel turned into "Jack the Ripper!"
I did absolutely nothing wrong, "Girl Scout's Brownie"
I'm completely innocent, like a new-born baby!

I wasn't asking for your sympathy either.......
Broken twosome, not responsible for anything neither.
He broke my heart all by himself you see......
Life is not gruesome at all, unless you're quite chesty!

Let this message be heard, you sister poetesses.
Watch out for those "Heart-Breakers", they take classes.
Knowledge personified as to how to go about doing it!
Be alert, watchful, guard your heart, they pinch and hit!

It dies because we don't know how
to replenish its source. It dies of blindness,
and errors, and betrayals. It dies of illness and
wounds, it dies of weariness, of withering, of tarnishing.

That is a different point of view and not what I expected. (I wrote a song a while back that is on the same subject but from a different view.
It's called "If I had the chance to fall in love again." It is currently in my journal I will put it online sometime in the future. This poem is very good and I think both poems while about the same thing talk about two very different circumstances.

My dear friend poets,
Some poems soar, others go over like "Lead Balloons" please help this poem to soar, by reading it with a sense of humor....It was written to rib Norm.......it's very funny, not my true feelings at all! It was written to be very sarcastic, and funny!
Enjoy it, don't take it seriously.
Poetic hugs,
ConSue
