My heartache and pain, when I'm under stress.
I let my thoughts flow out my brain,
Tumbling, spiraling through pumping vein.
Some how they reach through this pen I hold,
Bursting forth, their story to be told.
Helter Skelter as I write them down,
Coming too fast, I feel myself drown.
The flood of feelings coming from my soul,
My heart becomes weary, unable to console.
I battle my way up to the surface,
Sputtering, kicking, the flood seems endless.
I see a lighthouse out in the distance,
Beckoning to me with its flashing guidance.
A lifeline thrown from my very own consciense,
The flood waters recede, restoring balance.
My heart no longer weary, I'm able to control,
The flood of feelings coming from my soul. [comments] => 6 [counter] => 185 [topic] => 43 [informant] => gentledove [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 20 [ratings] => 4 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

It seems to be the strongest lifeline I have ever found. Safe and sure. Gay, this is an extraordinary write. So strong and powerful and shows we can save ourselves if need be.
