These blue and pink emotions
haunting my dream,
a nightmare in disguise.

People become blurred
as I paint my world with sadness.
For the first time,
I don't want to be the artist.

Throw away the paint brush,
wash away all the unused paint.
Colors overflowing,
colliding with each other.

I walk around these hallways,
feeling so lost and confused.
I want someone to reach out and grab me,
break my endless fall.

Swallow this bottle of pills
to take the pain away.
This empty feeling deep inside,
bottled up for so long.

Eyes become glazed,
my senses slow down
as the pills release their magic.
This is my natural high.

Now I am safe.
Able to bathe in the pools of sunlight
that trickles through the window,
warming my once so lonely soul.

This is my natural high.
A fragile state of mind. [comments] => 1 [counter] => 229 [topic] => 66 [informant] => avriljunkie [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => drugabuse )
