The Solitude (Prt.2)

Contributed by Mortis-Dark on Thursday, 8th July 2004 @ 03:32:02 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

The days pass as time elapse.
The moon falls and the clouds part.
One weak knee with one broken heart.
The smell of charred flesh brings a tear to my eye.

It lingers and daunts.
This hell is to much for one man.
One plan and a hated past.
To erase to face with a blunt mace.

Chilled like ice in the summer's breeze.
Dark and dank as he falls to his knees.
The second is complete.
He screams to his defeat.
Tried to defy me once to more.

The door is locked.
The heart is lost.
Their was no cage to begin with.
The rope that is wired around his neck seems to be his only support.
Foe or friends in loving memories.
He sees the past.

The past of black.
The dust that sifts between his fingers tip.
Watching the blood drip from the immortal hell.
This fortress of solitude.
But to whom do we salute.

Loneliness no matter what form it is described in is tortuous.

Very dark. Vary deep. I loved it.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
