I could go anywhere I wanted, escaping bad experiences.........it's a wonderful gift, but you have to be very careful, always keeping it positive, beautiful, and kind. [bodytext] =>

"WHERE VIOLETS GROW"

As a young girl, I was rarely lonely or sad.
Huge imagination coupled with my brain's launching pad.....
I could imagine a place in my mind, there I'd roam.
Down a hand-made cobble stone lane, where
violets grow, my second home.

Either singing, humming, or a whimsical tune I'd whistle.
Just me and my imagination, a tranquil world, nothing frightful.
Noises of a near by babbling brook at the end of my path.
I'd sit among the lavender velvet violets, easing any wrath.

Dizzy with dreams like any young girl my age....
Standing among the violets, I was center and front stage.
Pretending to be whatever I could conjure up in my dreams.
I'd act out scenes for the trees, with never ending themes.

I noticed a violet leaf fluttering, and then a wee voice?
"Finally," I thought, "It's true, trees do speak back to you,"
I began to rejoice.
Barely a whisper, this is what I heard, "Wait 20 seconds."
"It takes me that long to maneuver on a leaf, in these woodlands!"

A tiny purple caterpillar catercrawling like a little wobbler.
I picked up the leaf, holding it close, and watched the little bugger.

Silly little cater just kept repeating the same phrase over and over.
"I don't mean to bug you, just want to say "Hi"
My name's CaterChatter."

"Hi there CaterChatter, you're so purple and cute," I said.
"Soon you'll become a beautiful butterfly, all yellow and red."
"Yes, that's true," he said. "You come back where the violets grow.
"I'll carry you on my torso, until you can learn to flutter solo!"

I have a date with a beautiful butterfly seated between his wings.
Up, Up, Up, and away we'll go soaring, fulfilling all our longings.
I headed back up the cobblestones skipping over twigs of driftwood.
I can go everywhere he can fly--I had a marvelous "mental" childhood!

Thank goodness I finally live in my special place. It is a grotto off of the creek in the back of the property that is hidden by rocks and trees with the most beautiful little place to hide and skinny dip. Loving nature! lol

That is so beautiful, and that picture so peaceful. I did that too, and find myself going back now often, In my imagination, where the moss grows on all sides of the trees, and no dares to be serious, and no one frowns.

Thank you so much for sharing.

Chris
