praying in the garden as his friends all sleep
I see the blood
pouring down his forehead as he sits in grief

"If this is your will-
Father take this cup away from me.
Give me another choice.
But not as I will
for I came to earth to suffer torment
so that man can be free."

I see the crowd
walking through the garden with their swords in hand.
And with a kiss
a savior is betrayed into the hands of man.

Will you use a sword?
After I have been with you for all of this time.
Let me make it known
this must all come to past so that God's will is done

Everyone is screaming
Everyone is shouting
"LET THE LORD BE CRUCIFIED"
I hear their vioce: can it be mine?

If this is your will
Father take this cup away from me
Give me another choice
But not as I will
for I came to earth to suffer torment
so that man can be free

I see a cross
standing in the center of the place called Skull
A man hangs there;
battered and beaten he is in torment.

"Father where are you.
Can you tell me why you have forsaken me
Father forgive them
for they do not know what they are doing."

Everyone is screaming
Everyone is shouting
"LET THE LORD BE CRUCIFIED"
I hear their voice
(I hear their voice)
I hear their voice

and it was mine

Bravo! This is very vivid and moving.

And it is well for us to grasp the concept that we share in the decisions of humanity (and hence the blame), simply because we are part of it. Strange concept for a rebellious individualist like myself.

Thank you for this most beautiful piece. God bless.
Andrew

GOD BLESS,

BEAUTIFUL POEM. IT SO WRONG WHAT THEY DID TO HIM. BUT HE DID IT ALL JUST FOR US. SO WE CAN HAVE SALVATION. SO WE CAN HAVE A CHANCE TO GET IT RIGHT.
