Even the wise men are hurled into the
Whirlpool of attachment, the pit of delusion
Through the power of thy great illusion
O Mother Durga! O Queen of universe!
When called to mind in a difficult pass
You remove the fear for your devotees
When called to mind by us in happiness
You bestow a mind still further pious!
Which goddess but you, O dispeller
Of poverty, pain and fear, has an ever
Sympathetic heart for helping every one
Our salutations ever be to you, O NaaraayaNi!
O you, who are the good of all good, O Goddess
Who accomplish every object, O auspicious lady,
The giver of refuge, you are the three eyed Gauri
Our salutations ever be to you, O NaaraayaNi!
O you, who are intent on saving the dejected
And the distressed that take refuge under you
Remove the sufferings of all O Queen of all,
You possess every might save us from the evil
Our salutations ever be to you O NaaraayaNi!
When satisfied you destroy all illness; but
When wrathful frustrate all the longed for desires
No calamity befalls men who have sought you
And they will become verily a refuge of others!
O Queen of all, when ever we pray you in distress
You must destroy all our enemies and all afflictions
Of the worlds, Salutations be to you O NaaraayaNi!
O Queen of universe, you protect the universe
As the self of universe, you support the universe;
You are the Goddess adored by the Lord of universe,
Those who bow in devotion to you them selves become
The refuge of universe, Salutations be to you O Naaraayani!
Amen! Om Hrim Chandikaayai Namah! Om! Amen!

Well I've spent time chillin in a whirlpool but never got lost in one.
This write is mezmerizing fom first word to the last.
It's beauty is very humbling to the reader.

I never know what to say about your poetry. It's always so beautiful and inspirational. I believe also that you are teaching us about your beliefs. (But I've stated that before). What can I say that hasn't already been said? Just, it's exceptional!
