When I can’t get passed the tears I’ve cried
I shut the door
To keep my heart from getting torn

I want to run and hide
Won’t let anyone see what’s inside
To see my problems to know my life
Which is constantly filled with strife

I put a mask on each day
So people think that I’m okay.
I want no sympathy
All I want is to be free

For these chains to break
My life is at stake
I can’t run from this
I yearn for eternal bliss

My heart cries for peace
For all this pain and hurt to cease
My mind scatters beyond my control
Why I can’t tame it, that I wish I would know.

Only one thing I know I can do
To change all that I am going through
I’ll call upon his name
And he will rescue my soul from eternal pain.

very nice poem. Sad though. You might want to make your verses a lil longer though so it doesnt make the rhyme scheme sound weird. Other than that beautifully expressed!
