after all this time I didnt know I'd ever make it through
Feelin heart ache over the last five years,
I tried to stay happy but my eyes only held tears
Thinkin I was in love but it never was true,
thinkin it could change maybe there was somethin I could do
Maybe I could change and the fights would end,
maybe I didnt have the right love to send
Lovin someone not ever feelin my heart race,
for years my heart was never in the right place
Til I realized it wasnt me it just wasnt right,
I shouldnt feel alone I shouldnt have to fight
Then when I found out I was pregnant I was happy but felt alone,
I went back to live with my mom there i would make it on my own
I picked up the phone to call an old friend just so we could sit down and talk,
not knowin he was the one with the key to let my heart finally unlock
He took my daugther into my arms as if she was his blood,
he gave me so much love my heart started to flood
I always prayed that God had made someone like you,
someone who gives you love no matter what you put him through
God gave me two angels to take away my pain,
to stop the heartache and the tears that flowed like rain
Now im engaged In one year I will marry,
and for once in my life I have nothin but love to carry
