So I could reach out and touch,
All the people on this site,
That constantly mean so much.

We've built quite a little family,
That is spread around the world,
Crossing many seas and desserts.
This is something we all yearn.

It costs so much to travel,
By plane or by sea,
So I'd love to go on a journey,
In my travel machine.

To meet all my friends and family,
I have made here on YPDC.
I'd sweep across the ocean,
Over to the UK and Ireland.

Then when family are on board,
Away we would sweep again,
Across to good old America,
I am sure there are hundreds,
Of our family over there.

Onward bound we would go,
Sweeping our way around the world,
Picking up all our family members,
Our journey soon to unfold.

A grand old trip we would have,
Talking of this and that,
And the last stop on the map,
Good old Australia.

And where might you ask,
Would the final stop be in OZ,
Hmm well Mick better find a heap of tents mighty quick,
For the final stop would be our poetry web masters house,
Once landed the party will begin,
It will go on for weeks and weeks,
The grandest family reunion anyone could have,
When finally we have all met,
And all is said and done,
The time machine sadly departs,
To take us all back home.

Chrissylee, this would be a dream come true!! Great write..... I've always said if I ever struck it big I'd send tickets to all my friends at YPDC and have a big party on the islands..... but I'd have to go pick up Mick on my boat!!
Thanks for keeping the dream alive.... I loved the poem.
Hugs
Jenni

Oh ChrissyLee.......don't forget to stop and get me. I can't think of anything I'd rather do, than get on that time machine with you!
We read their poems, from all over the world, know not what they look like but can see their heart! Can you just imagine how fun it would be to sit around a big ole campfire and make up rhymes......w e'd giggle so much, we'd be still be there until daylight!
Wonderful poem, I enjoyed it so much...and maybe someday, we can pick a place and all met there together........hope it's really soon!
Love,
Consue
Thanks for you site....I've lost so many things when my computer took a dive!
