Another Ode.
For you I’ll travel a thousand
light years but impatience is
my enemy that never stops to
inhale the fragrance of a lemon
tree. You are not what I’m, you
are the serene moon playing
second string to master sun.
Two different roads we walked
till we met at a cross road, now
I’m the shadow that cast a spell
upon you and disturbs your dreams;
you shall be unwillingly faithful
to me and never love another
man till you are a shadow too.

I really liked the first stanza... The lemon tree reference makes a great metaphor... But i got kinda lost in the second stanza... It reads like you love this person but then you pass off to them this curse of being "a shadow." I dunno. BZ |
