One goes for the glory.
The other for blood and money.
But for what expense.
Tomorrow the sky will be lit.
For when our freedom was declared.
But who's really to say were free.

Our young men and women dying for a dry cause.
The guilty was caught and there’s no weapon found at the scene.
Society needs some sobriety.
Were all drunk on what they want us to believe.

18 through 29.
That’s the age of me dying.
For what harm do they pose.
Let freedom ring.
Liberate us from the hell in Iraq.

Were only fighting ourselves.
Let our young me and women come home.
Home is where they belong.
They have nothing there.

Let them see the sky lit.
The bells of freedom ring.
Let them see lady liberty in the Harbor of York.
Let them come home.

Bush the man with the power.
Sits on his high tower.
Posing all his propaganda.
He doesn’t have his children fighting for his cause.

Let this be a lesson.
For our next national election
That the man we choose.
May as well be the tyrant were looking for. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 192 [topic] => 41 [informant] => Mortis-Dark [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 2 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => political )

interesting and powerful. i cant say that i liked the first line too much, but hey whatever. everything has a price and if freedom is the price of blood, then so be it. everyone is so unhappy with how things are, and they have no idea of the hell people went through to give the future something they didnt have. sure, nothing is perfect, but people still are dissapointed when it isnt that way. lies are used for manipulation to get the effect that is wanted. if they want to manipulate us into believing something they can and would probably do it, but theres a reason behind it. maybe some people dont see the reason and only see it as betrayal to their trust in government but there was a reason for it. even if it was to save their butts and keep them in office.
