I am, admittedly, stuck - unable, I guess, to let it go. Alone for a moment and wanting to write... again, this is what falls out of me (sigh). Please bear with me... *** [bodytext] => Overwhelmed by a single tear
Trapped it seems by all the years
I listen closely and hear the sound
Of heavy hearts falling down

Desperately I move towards you
Doors are locked, nothing new
I question my motive, my sanity
Why do I go on so ridiculously?

Logically I know it’s long past time
To stop wishing and end the rhyme
But the dream simply will not die
For I have looked into your eyes

No matter what the day will bring
Your soul, to me, will always sing
And ‘tho I try to move along
I cannot help but hear your song

You drew me in, now I reside
Not next to you but deep inside
And I seem nothing outside of you
Alone, not knowing what to do

So once again I write to you
With words redundant and too few
Losing the ability to be unique
And hating that I’m being weak

You may know, may even care
Maybe you’ve been listening there
Perhaps one day you’ll tell me this
Was it - for you - just a kiss?

If the truth I was to tell
Sometimes I think I’d do quite well
To just ignore this heart of mine
And never write another line

Maybe I should silence myself
Put the memory back on its shelf
Am I a fool to continue on?
Should I let go, is it really gone?

I thought the answer was so clear
I found it in that lonely tear
But now, it seems all turned around
And once again, I’m falling down [comments] => 13 [counter] => 213 [topic] => 61 [informant] => Silent-No-More [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 25 [ratings] => 5 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => selfstruggles )

As long as you write I will read. I will stand by you like you stood by me. Heartache can be debilitating and for poets seems the best way to cleanse a hurt. I am still writing of hurt and my friends still read. I am your friend, SNM, and will be here for you.

Brilliantly penned.Beautiful, the canvas that you have dressed with your tears....
Time will heal, new pages will turn.

The whole piece held me but I love these stanzas:

"No matter what the day will bring
Your soul, to me, will always sing
And ‘tho I try to move along
I cannot help but hear your song

You drew me in, now I reside
Not next to you but deep inside
And I seem nothing outside of you
Alone, not knowing what to do"

Just WOW!!! :)

Ramble on for as long as you wish, to lose something close to you is like losing a limb, the more its not there the harder life becomes, sometimes unbareable. But look at it through the eye of people who have lost a limb, they adapt, recover, slowly they learn to live without that limb and go on to live an even fuller life because now they know what its like to have that experience.

To the poem, beautiful, your pain does bring us much talent, which is a shame because to have someone hurt so much, but as i once put in a poem entitled 'poetry'

'The page is where the talents read, it flows from where the poets bled'

Once again your poetic prowess shines through here in a rainbow of colours, you have the ability of masters of the word
I look forward to the day when your writes become lighter, darker and, or, of different context and you show us far your gifted wings can spread

Thankyou for sharing such a talent

Luke

This is your heart on a page......
The raw and honest emotion you have laid here before us, and in such an incredibly poetic manner, leaves me humbled.

Your soul flowed though your pen here my friend.
very VERY well done
a dozen red roses for this one

Oh SNM, you are not driving us crazy and you do not need to apologise.
Girl, we are all here for you.
Such a sad poem.
I can feel the emotions in it.
*hugs* we all love you.

I don't think you are driving anyone crazy.

You have beautiful thoughts and you turn those into beautiful poetry that everyone here can enjoy.

You do some amazing things with your words and if a certain someone is not listening at the moment, you know in your heart that he eventually will. You two have a way of always coming back together (and- if not- I can go kick his @ss for you!).

Do not give up hope. Without hope, there is no life. Keep following your heart!

Alone, not knowing what to do--- wow wow wow!!! this is amazing... the sadness is overwhelming but at this point in my life I relate more than ever. I know these words myself but you have written them better then I could have ever hoped to. In awe... A+++++

I think a lot of us have been where you were. I know I have, yet, what is unique about this poem and you: You write so exquisitely. Perfect.

Very few can lay the words upon a page like you.

Sincerely,

Timber
