Any comments--negative, positive, constructive, would be appreciated. [bodytext] => She's sprawled motionlessly across the cool tile floor.
barely breathing and stone cold to the touch
her make-up's smeared and her smile's cracked
she's not who you pictured her to be.

Don't believe her,
No, Don't let her decieve you.
She's not who you pictured her to be.

No, she's not naturally that thin.
No, she hasn't eaten in a few days.
And her head is spinning and her vision is blurring.
No, she's not who you pictured her to be.

Don't believe her,
No, don't let her decieve you.
She's not who you pictured her to be.

And the martini her bony fingers are grasping is not her first, nor her third.
No, it's her seventh one tonight.
She tells herself everything is fine, yeah, she just needs to forget a few things.
She's not who you pictured her to be.

Don't believe her,
No, don't let her decieve you.
No, she's not who you pictured her to be.

And the sleeping pills hidden behind the china vass on her nightstand,
are there for more than just her insomnia.
Yeah, they are there for a hell of a lot more than that.
She's not who you pictured her to be.

Don't believe her.
No, don't let her decieve you.
No, she's not who you pictured her to be.

And those cuts on her wrists and along her hips,
No, they weren't formed from her lack of poise.
No, they were formed from that jagged piece of glass that rests in that drawer, yeah, the drawer filled with faded photographs and letters from home.
She's not who you pictured her to be.

Don't believe her.
No, don't let her decieve you.
She's not who you pictured her to be.
No, she's not who you pictured her to be at all. this is great. As spooky said no one is who they first seem. though you hardly ever get to truly know someone. this is a very talented write. i enjoyed read this and it would make an excellent song.

love and hugs

Nice name. Your song was distinct, and although I've read this kind of thing a million times, you went about it with a certain degree of panache, including original and stand-out elements (such as a china vase) which added to the ensemble.

You could have avoided bringing out her first person, as this jerked the read out a little bit, bu overall it was a nice write, which involved me enough as to even attempt to wonder at the tune behind it.
