the edge of life
the cliff of hearbreak
the topple of doom

falling slowly
i thought of you
you and me
what we used to be

the soft touch
squezzie hugs
gentle kisses
slow caress
gazing eyes
the show of love for all to see

the late nights
the looking into eyes
of sparkling lights
the never ending soft stare

the show
the run
the chase
was how i got you

we felt the same
we fitted together
we went like
lavender and heather

we fell in love
instantly
an invisible bond
holding us together gently

made for one another
we were
we sat and laughed
while you'd gaze and stare

you eyes full of
love and trust
mine the reflection of yours
only peace in our world never wars

the row of past
the row of late
the one that made you leave
close the gate

i can still see your handprint
on the door handle
i move to kiss it
one last time

as this goe's on
i fill with emptyness
as the door closes
its final close
