He has made all the fairies feel forlorn,
We search for him yonder, but find no trace or clue,
We fathom a path, in which we might pursue
We fly through the deep woods and a stranger do we see,
‘tis John Pan of whom we inquire where Peter might be,
‘I do not know, pray! Leave me alone,’
Says John who is no more a babe, but a full-grown
‘I know not who you search for, ‘tis no dealing of mine,
Just let me be; take your leave and your friend you should find,’
Thus, we depart from the woods unto the field,
There do we find Peter who has at long last been freed
He yearned to be a babe no more and his mother for to find,
And now his aspirations have proved to be true; he’s no more our kind,
Growth progressing at a hastened speed, he’s likened to John Pan,
No more a babe of the fairies’ woods, he now resembles a man

Each time I read your poems, they always seem to draw a chronic, vivid picture in my mind. So perfectly rhymed! So neat! I really think you are far better than me, and this one proves it well!!!

Good rhyming structure. I feel that this your poem deserves more attention. bernard
