With insincere concern,
A kind smile that really said,
'Won't these kids ever learn?'

You didn't want the hospital,
To drag you to safety,
You never asked to be patronised,
To be made to feel guilty,

The nurse checked the IV drip,
And saw there in your face,
A longing for a way out,
Some new means of escape,

But with a dumb practised smile,
Not knowing how you feel,
She said, 'It's ok, my dear,
These wounds will one day heal

This is a very true poem and yet very sad seeing as though I went through these feelings last week...I was in the hospital...and I felt this way...I wasn't in for this reason but I saw a few who were and it was scary...
Good write for such a sad topic..
Love,
Jamie

The wounds do heal, yet the scars remain, one of my more painful memories, and I'm 33, I know where you are coming from, when ever I look at my arms I see and feel the agony of defeat, that once was, But I have gotten over my sorrow by writting, I cant change the past, but I can create my own future, so Maybe you can too.
Your poetry has so much beauty in it even though they are sad, they are real so are the feelings overflowing from your words.
Do not give up on yourself, Create a futre for yourself and go with it, and there are plenty here to talk to if you are feeling lost....

Please give life one more chance.....
And do take care.

I'll tell you what I tell my daughter. The followering is a few lines from a poem to her.

Life has dealt you a few low cards,
And each one has left a scar,
Touch them lightly and trace them too,
Smile a memory they’re part of you.

You have to play the cards you're dealt. There are only to ways to do this:

1. The hard way. Where most of the time your life's scope is to narrow. Thus a lonely world.

2. The easier way. Which is not to say it's easy. Just easier. A smile will broaden your world. Your life's scope becomes larger. Thus, more friends - more opertunities.

Sorry the mom in me just pops right out sometimes...

Your poem is good and very sad. Please take care.

J~
