in soft respites,
when my senses pull back,
and your image ignites
the glycerine hope
trailing down to my heart
that implodes my inhibition
tearing apart
all those things that stop me.
All that introspection,
the self-served rejection,
love-sick confessions,
misplaced affection
has all lead me to believe that
you're most beautiful
sitting there eating Pop tarts.
Feet on the couch,
head to the sun,
tossing out philosophy,
Simpsons and Jung,
lost in the slow motion day dream
having too much time
and too much ice cream.
I put on my rose tinted glasses
bring out the car
drive to your classes
on new age thought,
old school cynacisim,
classic reverance,
and modern criticism,
opening my eyes to the ways of the world.
You open my eyes.
And all I see is,
you're most beautiful.
