Trickling down my window pane,
Creating a waterfall down the glass,
Making little marshes out of the grass.

As I lay there I can hear it flow,
It drips down from the sky oh so slow,
Coating everything it touches,
The garden, the tress & the bushes.

I really want to go outside,
But I think it’s best to stay & hide,
Away from the little darts of water,
That freely fall & saunter.

It’s as if the angels are crying,
& the accompanying wind is their sighing,
The sky is filled with dark clouds,
As the heavens wear a heavy shroud.

Pitter , patter, drip, drop,
When will this rain finally stop,
I sit & look out of my window,
Listening to this watery crescendo.

This poem is my favorite of yours beyond a shadow of a doubt, pixie. I love the rain, I love the way you portrayed it and I'll be printing this out to add to my collection of poems that I've written or read and loved about rain. Thanks for posting this. Really, I love it.

Lots of love and peace be with you,

Chelsea

Well, I love rain, but we have had entirely too much this season. It rains everyday. My pond continually overflows and I think I am beginning to grow webs between my toes as I am in it so much to feed the horses and livestock. Quack, Quack, lovely poem, lol.
