Eye Of The Sky

Fiery ball of splendour,
Illuminating the scorching sky,
Rays of gold dip the lakes,
Majestic power held up high.

Quietly painting the horizon,
With bold hues of warmth,
Yellow, red and tangy orange,
Anticipation as the sunrise comes.

Basking within the subdued shafts,
Generously flowing from the eye,
Clouds are pierced as it shines,
Our beautiful sun, gem of the sky.
