Not happy enough to smile
Not sad enough to cry
Simply exsisting one day at a time
I can act happy
I can act mad
But no longer am i really sad
I have no feelings inside of my me
just an empty heart beating
with empty eyes no longer leaking
I can't tell you i'm happy
can't tell you i'm kind
just simply exsisting
in an empty mind

Taoism is about taking whatever comes and using it for good. Lao Tzu wrote, "I am like a child before it learns to smile." Sometimes no emotion can be turned into a good thing...think of the old masters, sitting in contemplation. "I am like an idiot, my mind is so empty," continued Lao Tzu. Maybe you're on the right track and you just don't realize it. But keep writing - this helps not only you - but us all, who can learn from you!! |
