I feel like I will never be with you
But there's a whisper
That sings to me a hope I never knew

Why can't you just be here with me?
I can't help but to think it's meant to be
So captivated by a thought of being free
Why can't you just be here with me?
With me
Why can't you just be here with me?

Somewhere in your smile
I see beauty I've never seen before
If nothing's perfect
You're still the perfect one that I've been looking for

Why can't you just be here with me?
I can't help but to think it's meant to be
So captivated by a thought of being free
Why can't you just be here with me?
With me
Why can't you just be here with me?

Somewhere in this desert
An oasis of my love's here for you
It'll never dry up
Because the love I have for you will hold so true

I know exactly what this poem is saying. I had a friend whom I had loved and then he moved away. Now I can only talk to him when he can buy a calling card and call me. I miss my friend... I long to hear his voice everytime i hear the phone...
