Array ( [sid] => 53694 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => i should try a little harder [time] => 2004-06-25 17:22:52 [hometext] => this was originaly written as a song but i couldnt be bothered to write music to it so it turned into a poem. its a pretty lame reason but hey thats me [bodytext] => I should try a little harder
A bit more effort from time to time
That aint the way its done in the movies
Just the same misleading lines

With a life the length of a piece of string
Who am I to tie the ends
The moon shines down upon us
Like a beam at the circus
If all we are doing is acting
Who writes the lines?

All we do is watch what we say
We never get across what we mean
To scared that the cross-fire between love and hate will interrupt the scene
I should really let the past fade away
But every time I see you it just comes back again

I guess I should leave this town
Go far away with the birds and the bees
You are like a fever
But I will get sick when it ends
If you knew the devil
You would bring him to his knees

All we do is watch what we say
We never get across what we mean
To scared that the cross-fire between love and hate will interrupt the scene
I should really let the past fade away
But every time I see you it just comes back again

I lye awake staring at the stars
You may have done the same
But when I try to contact you
You vanish in the rain
