A different twist and look at abortion in a different light. Slam Poetry. [bodytext] => Mom and dad
this is for you
The ones who could have
given me life
but you took it away instead
Why did you kill me
before I took a breath?
I didn’t even do anything bad

I know I was an accident pregnancy
But it wasn’t my accident
it was yours

I could have been
all you wanted me to be
if you had only
given me a chance
But no

Because of your mistake
I can’t spend time with you
wish you happy birthdays
and such
But I’m glad I can’t because
of what you did to me
Because of your mistake
I can’t play ball
with you in the park
Because of your mistake
I’m dead
Because of your mistake
Not mine
YOUR mistake

Mom and dad
this is for you
The ones who traded me
for convenience
All the other kids are priceless
but you killed me
and you did it for free

I know I was an accident child
But it wasn’t my accident
It was yours

I would’ve been
six years old now
I would have colored you pictures
That you would tape to
your cubicle at work
I would have given you
a kiss before
I went to bed each night
I would have waited for you
after school to pick me up
But now I’m glad
I can’t do that
cuz of how you treated me
cuz you didn’t
give me a chance
Because of your mistake

What a horrible set of parents
Because of your mistake
You killed me
Before you even knew me
You hypocrites
I bet one of the first things
You would have told me
Was that
two
wrongs
don’t
make
a
right

Its different point of veiw to look at. I believe abourtion is murder as well, but to take the point of view from the child...GUIENUS!

I'm sure it would have been much better if the child was born. Then he could have wrote something like this.

Thanks mom, for giving me nothing. Why do we live in a homeless shelter where I get molested by the odor infested heroin junky that stole my virginity. Why don't I go to school. Mom and Dad why did you have me if you couldn't take care of me? Now I will never have an education or any kind of shot for a worthy existance. That is why I took my life today. Thanks again Mom and Dad, for nothing.
I was raped at the age of 13, and got preganant. I am now 26 years old and the mother of two beautiful happy children. However if I had the child when I was raped we both would have had miserable lives. I don't always believe in abortion, but there are exceptions, don't be small minded.
