A Fallen Chick lay on the walk
I saddly picked it up
Its little chest struggling for breath
Its featherless body ,just all skin
So tiny and perfect- he had all his parts
I wonder what could have happened for him to fall.
As I held the wee creature in my hand ,
I felt its last tiny heave
and it was gone.
Knowing it is one of Gods creatures
I returnt it to the ground .
And layed it to rest in my garden bed .
Who knows the reason why he fell
or perhap he was pushed out
By brothers and sisters who didn't want him there.
Perhap he was sick or just the tinyest of them all.
Life is a struggle
It comes to all who breath air
I cease to wonder now
Coz that's the way things just seem to go.

Life is a struggle for the small and weak. That is why I have such a hard time understanding people who abuse children and the elderly. They have enough hardship without some bully adding to it. I am so glad you were there.
Love,
