little jill was sick today
and nothing seemed to go her way
she was ever so sad and mad
so she decided she'd be bad.
she stoode up from her bed and said
momie i am leaving
i am going to run away
so little jill she packed her things
and left the house that very day
soo young the mother thought
only three just yesterday.
but its today her father said
little jill is on her way
16 is old enough anyway
jills mom and dad argued on
not even noticing that she was really gone.
jill got so mad she left in a hurry
she was sick of her mother and her worries
jill found a job that gave her pay
and thought just maybe she was on her way
nightjobs dayjobs on the go
yet she didnt get enough doe
so she once again up and left
for this little town was just too small
little jill ran to l.a
and tryed to find stardom
she tryed every day
but soon enough she got sick and tired
of trying and trying never to be hired.
so she let her body be her guide
little jills morals left her side
by day she was an innocent girl
by night she became a trashy whore
stripping here and stripping there
filling her bank with money
and then little jill was finally discovered
but too depressed to care.
for one small thought interupted this day
why must the world be so wrong this way.
she decided she was wrong
and left for home wishing never all along.

So good.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
