I’m desperate; without hope; I’m all alone
No partner, soul or body to exchange
Collections of my sorrows that I’ve grown
And so once more I write them down on page
Each time I seek true love I’m beaten down
There is no soul-mate on the Earth for me
And yet it seems if I reverse my frown
It’s with a thought of love that sets me free
My passionate desires have no cure
My thoughts yield not solutions for my woe
Depression takes me over, kills the pure
Tranquility is difficult to show
Euphoria is what I need to feel
Although utopias are rarely real
