Array ( [sid] => 53237 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Almost Too Late [time] => 2004-06-22 19:16:27 [hometext] => Diana, I still can't believe it. I said maybe I'm too late, and you said, not too late, Almost Too Late. I love you, and I know now we'll be fine, and back together where we belong soon. I will see you tonight, and every night...in my dreams. [bodytext] => You should feel so good inside
And you should be proud too
The changes that you see in me
Are all because of you.

You made me see so many things
Was so much I had missed
You even knew the reasons why
But those things you couldn’t fix.

I’m sorry that it took so long
I’ve finally got it straight
Then you said those perfect words
You said, “Almost Too Late.”

You didn’t say we’re over now
Or that we wouldn’t last
Not that there was too much hurt
To save us from the past.
You didn’t say goodbye to me
But you did raise my heart rate
With words that I have waited for
You said, “Almost Too Late.”

Not, “Too late, and I’m sorry
But we’re just wasting time
I can’t ever trust you again
Don’t want to cross that line.”

You said how much you miss me
And you still love me too
And how you want to be held close
That old light’s in our view.

You’re still not really saying it
But your actions say much more
I see you want us back again
Love too strong to ignore.

You didn’t say we’re done and through
Or that we couldn’t last
Not that there was too much pain
To forget it from the past.
You didn’t say, so long, to me
You increased my heart rate
With words I would have died to hear
You said, “Almost Too Late.”

I still could not believe I heard
This has to be my fate
You didn’t say your last goodbye
You said, “Almost Too Late.” [comments] => 2 [counter] => 183 [topic] => 2 [informant] => Joker17 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LovePoetry )
