Array ( [sid] => 53220 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Mitochondria [time] => 2004-06-22 17:40:57 [hometext] => The human body fascinates me.. especially the male body.. haha. I think it is awesome the way the body works. I am going to college for nursing and a bio major. This is a poem I had to write for class. [bodytext] => I am a small cellular organelle
I'm found in cytoplasm of an eukaryotic cell
Responsible for converting nutrients into a molecule
So cells are energetic with my fuel
The heavier the energy, the more I increase
So I split up into more than one piece
When I grow large they pinch me bit by bit
Until right through the middle I split
Then I must replicate my DNA
Repeating my process every day [comments] => 3 [counter] => 3797 [topic] => 43 [informant] => Seans_Girl [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 7 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

This poem should be printed at the beginning of every biology textbook. It goes a long way in showing just how fascinating the subject can be, even at the smallest level. Your writing is cohesive and progresses nicely. As a bonus, the science survives intact--no small feat for any literary work. Fantastic! -KAC-
