for you my love is clear as a day
when the clouds threaten rain
theres no way to make you see
that love is an emotion wasted
on those who choose to believe
that love is all there is.

its not my broken heart that speaks these words
no its all the moments when i have seen
just how beautiful the world can be
from a television screen.

apparently my heart isn't strong enough
as the lust that you hold in yours
well love is dead to me.
and eventually the light will break in to
try and put the pieces back togethor
but they're not all there.
and you'll leave like you always have.

Aye, the romantic sensation called love is a fickle thing, powerful but not constant. I believe true love to be selfless giving. And it is a choice, not a mere emotion.
Take care.

Sometimes they tell us of their love, but it is a lie, to make them feel alive again, for a moment and they move on...they leave us worse and in pain, but was it them you see, because it us who let them in, only to make us die.

Very good write, thank you for sharing.

Chris

What a pain it is to bear the brunt of a jilting in love. A broken heart born of love is perhaps the most despondent of times. You pictured it well here how love to a broken heart is dead in the first chance for never can be seen that another moment would beguile us into another hurtful time. Some people take love lightly and ask for us to seek it elsewhere but some holds the pain more deeply that love dies within them. But I guess as love holds great bounty it will also pose great risks...bon chance! Nicely done write. A true depiction of a heart broken and killed by the mistrustings of a love gone stale.
