~Flight~

Got out of bed this morning.
At least I think I did.
Mind was fuzzy, thoughts weren't sorting,
couldn't clear my head.

Somehow, I made it to work,
walked up to her and said "Hi".
She looked so sad and deeply hurt,
so I had to stop and ask why.

She seemed to look right through me,
as she explained what was wrong.
"Why did you have to go so soon?
Our love was so special and strong."

"I'm standing right here, can't you see?
I haven't gone anywhere!"
All of a sudden, something grabbed me,
and I was flying through the air.

I was terrified but tried to be brave.
This flight was so intense!
When I stopped, I looked down at my grave,
and now all this madness makes sense.

It seemed very vague and I couldn't understand why until the end. You carried the whole thing through extremely well. Enjoyable piece of work.
