Array ( [sid] => 53038 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Proffered Prayer and Presence [time] => 2004-06-21 16:21:44 [hometext] => ***********************************For my boyfriend*********************************** Note: In the last line, I mean let God carry you through and let me pull you through, just for clarification. That's my favorite line in the poem. [bodytext] => There’s a lump in my throat and it won’t go away
There are tears in my eyes that I’m keeping at bay
I will try to be strong, won’t unravel or fray
Or at least hide my fears from their outward display

I know you need me to be here and be strong
I need you to know I’ve been here all along
I wish I could make it so nothing is wrong
But that cannot be. In His plan, this belongs

There’s a pain in my chest stemming straight from my heart
I wish I were with you, that we weren’t apart
You know, if you need it, to your side I’ll dart
Just tell me right when and that’s just when I’ll start

Of course, should you need to, just let the phone ring
When I hear it, I’ll jump, to my feet will I spring
My prayers will include you in their pow’rful string
For I know of God’s love and the help it will bring

For hope, love and prayer I’m a bottomless source
Although it is tough and it’s hard and it’s coarse
I’ll be here for you on this rocky road course
Let God be the buggy, let me be the horse [comments] => 2 [counter] => 163 [topic] => 32 [informant] => liquidsunshine [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 13 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => SadPoetry )
