Array ( [sid] => 52912 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => A Poem for Mom [time] => 2004-06-20 21:07:23 [hometext] => My mother is one of the best people I know. She has survived so much pain and dissapointment and still is full of love. She is the best mother I could ever have and she has always encouraged me. It is because of her that I have any positive qualities. [bodytext] => Caring word like sweet fresh water
Wash away the fear and doubt
A mother’s love can build strong mountains
And gently drive our demons out

Cradling us when there’s no other
To wipe away our bitter tears
She holds our hand when we need guidance
Loving us throughout our years.

She cares for us when we are hating
Our anger turning us away
With maternal patience she is waiting
For when we have our waking day

Oh this devotion, there is none like it
And never will there ever be
Yes, she always wants to keep us
But she’ll always set us free

Mom will be there when we have no one
Holding out her healing arms
Her wise clear eyes see our center
Far beyond these worldly charms.

This is a lovely tribute to your mother. This is how I have always viewed my mother. She has always been there behind me helping me to mold myself in life. She has lost everyone but my sister and I and she still has a heart full of love and devotion. She is the strongest person I know.

Welcome to YPDC. You will find a lot of caring sensitive people here. I hope you will spend a lot of time with us.

Smiles,
Rita

This poem litterally made me cry! It makes me wish that i had a mother who actually cared, someone there to help me along the way, but i don't. I have a mother who loves her job more than her own kid.
Great writing,
Shelbi
