Why can’t I sleep
Why am I drowning
In sorrow so deep

So many questions
Such little time
Is this life I see before me
Really mine?

Bound by things I hate
Feelings I would rather not know
Wounds that never heal
Pain that just won’t go

Same song playing
Past five hours on repeat
Depressing and perfect for me
Misery so cruel and so sweet

Through all of these years
I laid unknown amongst the best of you
I was the outcast
Failing with all I tried to do

And now I feel I’m dieing
My body seems so ill
I try and find some hope
But I don’t think I will

I yell at my mother
Asking to be left on my own
When really it’s a scream
Pleading to not be left alone

Once captivated by my goals
Dreams of becoming someone
Lovedand full of pride
But that road is too long and far

I find nothing and no one
Can reach into me and pull me out
From this body in which I lie
Is it worth it to even cry ?

Never going anywhere
It’s easy to just give in
Suicide is so appealing
Yet suicide is a sin

But now I do not care
If it were not for this one fear
I would be dead by now
One small doubt, is all that keeps me here [comments] => 4 [counter] => 198 [topic] => 36 [informant] => pyrofairyburning [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 6 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Suicide )

i like that. i think that's quite possibly the same doubt that keeps a lot of people alive. i't a good doubt to have sometimes when you reach really dark places. loved the poem, btw.
