Is Being Right... Right?

Contributed by New_York_Chick on Sunday, 20th June 2004 @ 08:00:36 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I just realized
that honesty is being naive
And you end up in a mess
Everytime that you confess

I just realized
that freedom is being alone
And you love me means you owe me
The price for us to be

I just don't know how right things
Are the wrong ones to do
I guess I'm one of the few
Who's still going against the majority
And I'm sorry I'm the next one to give up
Cause I can't stop the inevitable

Beautifully written, Chick. It brings together the paradox of trust and honesty, love and anger, give and take . . .

Thanks for writing - keep at it.
