"EULOLGY FOR COMMON SENSE"

He's been around for ages and ages.
He has solved millions of criminal cases.
"Common Sense" used to be everyone's friend to the end!
But, alas, he has died a slow death to suspend!

He will be remembered for cultivating such valuable lessons.
As "Knowing when to come in out of the rain!"
Never forget, "The early bird gets the worm, and fattens.
"Life isn't always fair, again, and again."

"Common Sense" lived by simple, sound financial policies.
(Don't spend more than you earn and bring home!)
He recommended reliable parenting strategies.
Reiterating that adults, not kids, are in charge or shalom!

His health began rapidly deteriorating when "Good Doers"
With good intentions set overbearing regulations in place.
A six-year old boy charged with sexual harassment
for kissing a classmate that enters.
Teens suspended from school for using
mouth wash after a race.

A teacher was fired for reprimanding an unruly student.
That's when "Common Sense's" condition began worsening.
It declined even further when schools
wouldn't give aspirin treatment., without the
parents consent.
But if pregnant, they didn't have to inform the parents
of an abortion, not even a briefing!

Finally, "Common Sense" lost the will to live completely.
As churches became businesses, money hungry, and carefree.
Then criminals received better treatment than their victims.
A woman spilled steaming hot coffee in her lap,
and received a lifetime of incomes!

"Common Sense" was preceded in death by his parents.
Truth and Trust, his wife Discretion, his daughter, Responsibility,
and his son Reason,
Also survived by "My Rights" and "Ima Whiner" two step-children.

Not many attended his funeral, because so few realized he was gone.
Most wouldn't have come anyway, they're too withdrawn.
If you still know him, pass this on please.
If not, join the majority, and do nothing with ease!

Seems to be a lost art in today's world. Seems it takes too much time to think before you act for care if your actions might affect someone else. He is sadly missed and mourned by many.

Hugs,
Rita

Sadly he passed on and there was not even a funeral to mark the occasion. This is so typical of the loss of responsibility, truth and trust, discretion and a few more that I just cannot recall but the too have dissapeared. It is a sad world indeed without all of their human wisdom. Good write Connie I enjoyed this as I agree with you on your writing. Thanks Hugs and love from
bernard.

Harken to me....common sense is DEAD? Hear ye! hear ye!...what woe betide to us hie. Grieve if we must and dare to face the reality where common sense is dead.

Ha ha ha as always a very refreshing write. But a tingle of truth trickles trough...you are very well quite right...common sense is devoid in our many aspects of life. I only wish it was not so.

Great write and great humor as always...bon chance!

"what use are senses if we use them not...for even what common good can we ascertain are often lost within the deeper curtain of the folds of common sense...let it lie then...what common good...what common sense...entombed in the joys and repugnance of self indulgance wiles."
