As they sit back and wait for the end
Taking turns devouring each others hollow souls
Causing an earth shattering beginning, unable to mend.

Lost in a sea of broken egos
Given to the war-monger of our lost youth; blamed
Standing up for the wrong fight
Quietly accepting the mocks and stares; ashamed.

Leave the bodies piled and unwanted
They only disappear in the mind for the cause; forbidden
Save the last remaining childhood dream
Of an existance that has been abandoned; hidden.

Take the low road to stay camouflaged by the high
The only defense against all your weakness
Vividly disappointing view of life
And all they know now is all the bleakness. I do sincerely hope things are looking a little better in your life today. Life can be ugly and rough, but there are also beautiful moments to carry us through those times.
