someone to hold
someone to cuddle up to
whilst we both grow old
someone who doesn't mind
walking hand in hand
while making silly footprints
all across the sand
someone to sit with
watching the setting sun
sharing the brilliant color
that has just begun
someone whispering sweet nothings,
when there's nothing left to say
just being there for each other,
in every special way
someone to share with,
through those lonely nights
someone to keep warm
while holding each other tight
someone to wake up to
as a new day begins
discovering in each other
feelings both outside and within
someone to help make life
a loving experience
the good times and bad
should make no difference
someone to steal a sweet kiss
every now and then
someone to love forever,
but now I wonder when

A true romantic ... glad to know we are still out there, you've summed up what all of us are thinking, feeling and wanting. Well done, touching and it makes you think. Look forward to reading more of your work.
