Now that we are sliding towards a war of our
own making, talks of peace is as useless as
preaching to bird that only follow the seasons
of life falling out of the sky when time is right,
or hacked to death by other birds, a bit of fluff
drifting on the road to nowhere. Wars seem to
be humanities curse made relentless and
unavoidable by our own greed and territorial
lust. Words have lost meaning, Peace means
war and War means future peace. I shall not
sign any petitions for peace they are not read
by warmongers’ closed mind, only hope that
next spring will be as beautiful as this year’s.

Wow... such turbulence in the emotions here, and quite fittingly so, in such confusion as it is with war and with peace... what mankind considers peace is simply a time between wars; and the promise of peace is always there, yet it is never truly fulfilled, as we know the promise of war is stronger than any promise of peace... what a vicious cycle.

And the tossing and turning between hope and hopelessness revealed in this poem is strong as well.

Fascinating write.

All we can really do is live a life of peace and impact the world we live in: our neighborhood.
