[title] => I made the mistake of falling in love
[time] => 2004-06-16 14:40:07
[hometext] => I wrote these song lyrics in 1989. Two years later they were recorded by country artist Keith Bradford. Copyright 1990.
[bodytext] => When I was younger I made the mistake of falling in love. I was only eighteen years old and I knew this girl. She was five foot five and when I saw her I came alive. She was the most beautiful girl that I'd ever seen and she meant everything to me. I should've been more honest with her from the start. Then maybe I wouldn't have gotten a broken heart. Recitation: I should've told her how I felt but I'd been hurt before and this heart of mine couldn't take anymore. Finally I got up the courage to go to her house and talk to her but when I got there, she had just eloped. If I would've been honest with her from the start, then maybe I wouldn't have gotten a broken heart. My love for her grew day by day. Now that I know she's in his arms, the pain just won't go away. When I think of how I got hurt, I begin to cry and I just want to curl up and die. Now I sit at home and drink my whiskey everyday. Just trying to make the pain go away. Now they'll be together until they die and when I think of it, I break down and cry.
