I have no one in the world that I want, nor do I want anyone I know. Im sorry to my 'friends' and 'family' out there, but I'm better off without you. Thought I was happy for a moment, thanks for proving me wrong. [bodytext] => Crystal clear tears pour from her eyes
Drowning out her thoughts of all of their lies
While the deep crimson blood falls from her arm
Drenching her white shirt in all of it's charm.

Lifting my fragile and weakened face
Pen to paper, imagining a better place
Signing away all of my lifes emotions
Pretending to smile at each persons practiced devotions.

Hoping for someone to sweep her away
Before it's too late; here quickly comes her day
Wishing for an answer to her prayers
Brilliantly she ignores all the sour stares.

Hands are shaking, unable to still
Almost time to give up my will
Allowing death to blanket me
Awaiting the cries of the people who see.

This razor blade has become my only friend
Giving me peace, stealing away all my time to mend
One last beat of the heart in my chest
That was only longing for a taste of the best.

'Her soul died slowly everyday
Now it's time for her body to be put on display
All she ever wanted was happiness
Now all she gets is eternal darkness.'

How about we don't write suicide poetry, ever. Don't ever go the easy way, and never give up.
"The hardest thing in this world is to live in it,be brave... live."

i agree with the first comment. and would like to offer another phrase, "suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem." so what if life isnt happy, its not meant be happy. if you want it to be happy you have to find those things that give you that joy. you have the most important decision to live or die. its only yours and you be happy with it. but remember once youve made the choice to die you cant change it anymore and if you do live you might turn back and be glad you stuck it out in the end. but no matter, do what you want, it is your life, yours to live or to end.

as much as you wanna die, in the back of your mind, you really don't want to... you're scared, as you should be...

I wish I could offer ya something how about this... my grandfather died 3 months ago, he was 90 and it was still VERY sad... could you imagine what sadness you'd leave behind if you died ( hell, took your life) at such a young age when you have soooo much to live for....

Don't do it.... you won't be able to change your mind once you're dead.

very good poem...

i kind of agree/ disagree with the other commenters. no- it's not too good to kill yourself. but i have diffrent reasons. someday you might help someone in a way that changes their life forever and in a good way. i know these feelings... like things will never get better. and i know that it doesn't help having people say they will so get over it already (and plus, that's really mean... expecially when they don't know that that's what they're saying) but don't kill yourself. because the people you are going to change will change you as well and you will be happy. somehow, happiness will find you.

Oh and one more thing... all of you peopel who commented... If you dont agree with the subject why do you even bother to read it. I dont care what you think about it. If you dont agree with suicide, dont read the ***** poem. And dont crowd my comments with stupid little "helpful" quotes... GoD!

Good poem. Dark but still good. And if it matters at all.....there is always some one who cares.

I'm not going to even try to judge you for I know the feeling all to well. Pain is unique to every person so I cannot even say I understand. What I do understand though is the temptation to just close your eyes and never wake up and if i wasnt sure a coward, i would have done so by now.

I dont know what to say to comfort you if anything. If you would ever like to talk feel free to PM me. I hate how people say suicide is wrong when its a person's own decision, own life but I do know there is no going back...

Take care
Hugs 'n Love

This tears those who read it within.
Very very powerful.
What most don't understand is that this is our life. Our lives. What we deal with every day.
I do hope you don't.
I do understand though.

I'm very sorry to see you dealing with this kind of sadness. Those around you should be ashamed. I pray you will find light. Hold on, dear friend. We love you.

Hmmm...where's the stanza about pushing away those who truly do care and are deemed worthless liars for absolutely no reason whatsoever? Or the part about "i'm glad to be depressed again, it's the only comfort I know."? I'm not trying to be a prick, but there are some inconsistencies present. For what it's worth coming from me, I hope you find your relief, and I hope you continue to live to see another day.

At any rate, this is a heat-wrenching write, absolutely teeming with ferocity, darkness, desponency and self-deprecation...and just a hint of an acid tongue. I'd like to commend the technical aspect of this as well, as this is the strongest set of rhymes i've seen from you in a while; paired with the way you phrased each line, it makes for quite the potent amalgamation.

"Lifting my fragile and weakened face
Pen to paper, imagining a better place
Signing away all of my lifes emotions
Pretending to smile at each persons practiced devotions."

That stanza drove it all home for me, and set the tone for the entire piece. Without doubt, this is the most emotional thing i've yet read from you, and the most personally stirring for me in a while.

A single tear for a lost friend,
-V.S. (090404)

Lindsey I think you have so much talent. From the very first poem I read of yours and onward you have impressed me. You are witty, sharply intelligent, deep and you really do have the talent needed to be a great writer. I am overall impressed by the natural gift you have.

If you ever want to talk anytime I'd love too.

Hope you're not dead Lindsey...dont know what on earth happened and cant at all understand how you're feeling so i wont pretend...just sad that its always the darkest times that bring out the best writing, and this is such a testiment to that.

Always,

Life does not have to end like that. I know it is hard yet there is always hope.
