bloody with our remnants
a torrential flow
god, will they ever stop?!
pieces torn away
as they leave me
pieces of our past, our life, what could have been,
and even
the very few that weren't yours
drying my mind to wasteland
i'm suffered hollow
blind to everything
were you ever really there?

cradled my head
in my hands
i imagined, yet believed to be yours
so long now
that i can't remember
the truth of it
i can't be moved
a statue at best
a vague reproduction
cast in stone
with a cold that rivals your heart
my body an indescernible heap
amongst the rubble
that you've left

but the mass of wet
there were so many tears
has taken on at least
it's own life
just a shadow
but still
i'm jealous
of that warmth

time passes
and i'm discovering
in this darkness
a despairing calm
i fall
through these days
is it really only days?
with liquid motion
no proof of existence
but for a stirring at the surface
an obtuse rippling
of the caustic thoughts beneath

with your back to me
how long has it been turned?
even then
i still try
one last touch
a whispered goodbye
filled with everything
i could never really say

as i fade
it seems
there's one last sigh
of resolve...
or are you finally content?

does it really matter now?

This is very sad Stitch. It speaks of so many things that I am at a loss for words.

If I could take it all away to a place where you would never feel depressed and tired again I truly would.

that was beautiful in a painful sorta way.

"with your back to me
how long has it been turned?
even then
i still try
one last touch
a whispered goodbye
filled with everything
i could never really say"

that has got to be one of the best stanzas i've ever read.

Beautifully dark Stiches. This was an incredible write and the pain in it.
Amazing. I dislike to make pain sound beautiful but you make it that way with how you write.
Nice.
