So,
you have taken
to writing
Poetry ?

To savour
the heady wine of composition,
to know
The glories of putting
word after word
Growing
phrase by phrase
Vision and Voice.

Blessed are you
who the muse has claimed,
though doubtless you will
curse the madness,
the inarticulate sweet madness,
that drives you to create.

Blessed are you;
for you will see
with your heart
and you will feel
with your mind.

Blessed are you
beloved,
and
bemused
of the muse.
May you truly see
And
May you truly write,
that others might
See .

So,
you have
taken to writing
Poetry?

Ah.... this reminds me of Rainer Maria Rilke's Letters to a Young Poet --- not just in title but in tone as well. I encourage you to pick up a copy of the letters - it is just a bit of a book (only ten letters)... but it is packed with wisdom and speaks of the true nature of poets. (The letters are available online but the book's forward is worth a read... it demonstrates the inspirational relationship between two poets that never met.)

Blessed/cursed with the madness.... yes! it is exactly that way! Thanks for sharing! I enjoyed this very much!

I liked it. It made me, a young poet feel like it was written for me. And well, it can't get any better than that:) Although I hope I never have a madness to curse, or maybe I already do and don't know it. great poem.
