Array ( [sid] => 51971 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => My Soul, My Music [time] => 2004-06-14 22:40:43 [hometext] => This is (another) poem dedicated to my music and how powerful an influence it has in my life. [bodytext] => Pouring tears into the microphone
The tears that nobody stole
Strumming grief on the guitar
These are what real emotions are
Breathing life into my soul
Makin geverything seem a little less cold
Wrapping me in a warm embrace
Giving me a brand new face

I can hide inside my headphones
When I want to be alone
Now the world doesn't seem so empty
The world doesn't seem so cold

Pouring everything you are into this sound
Not leaving one trace of angst
Unvoiced
All my life, all my pain
Finally heard inside my head
Breathing life into my soul
I'm everything you are
All of me is here
With you

I can hide inside my headphones
When I want to be alone
The world doesn't seem so empty
The world doesn't seem so cold

Everything laid out before me
Laid out so I can see
That I'm not the only one
I'm not the only one here
I have you

And all I need is the sound of your voice
All I need in this life
is that sweet noise
That's all I need to
keep me alive

Because all I need is that sound
Washing away the pain
WOrds vibrating against my brain
And I'm so glad I found
This beautiful, beautiful sound
I don't know how I lived
Without it
But I know my soul won't stop singing now
Hiding inside my headphones
They're breathing life into me
Hiding inside my headphones
