Array ( [sid] => 51896 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Malachi Returns..... [time] => 2004-06-14 13:57:39 [hometext] => It's been a while, time to return to my favorite Isle...Glo! [bodytext] => It's been two years since my last vacation,
My memories are as vivid as today....
If I had my choice, on the Isle I'd surely stay.
For there I met a very Special Friend...
I've learned so very much from him.

So off I go in hopes of seeing him once more.
Listening to the waves, as they roll in and kiss the shore.
He's the "Keeper of the Isle!",
His name is Malachi, such a wise young man.
Attending to the Sea People, as best he can.

Tonight is a Full Moon, so beautiful and clear,
As I stroll along the beach, sensing a presence very near.
A calm and peaceful feeling came over me,
Knowing I had nothing to fear.
I started to take another step, when right my side....
Stood my little friend....Malachi.

He said , "It's been a while since I've last seen thou.
I've been very busy visiting the shore,
Helping all the Sea People make it safely back to sea.
So they can return, time and time again...
For future generations to see!"

"We Sea People are ever vigilant, striving to do our part,
It's Mankind that needs to stop and take heart.
Think about all Creatures, Great and Small.
The needless killings and pollution...
What affects one affects all on land, sea, and in the air.
It's something that we all can peacefully share!"

"My job is to help the Sea People and try to keep the Ocean clean of litter and debris.
Mankind can do his part...Dost thou know what I mean?"
I said yes, I'll do my part to help educate,
To spread the knowledge from my Special Friend, before it's to late."

Malachi said "I've talked with thousands, just as thee.
Progress is taking place on Land and Sea.
He said, "I've even told King Neptune of thou,
And the talk we had, he was very pleased.
Knowing there's another Land Person who cares about the Sea."

We had such a long and learning talk,
Malachi said "It's time for him to leave."..
As we began to walk, I began to wonder...
Is this real or fairytale?
Just then at a distance...a Big Orca Whale,
Came inland, very close to shore...
Malachi climed upon his back, then turned to say good -bye.
Heading back out to Sea, with hope in his eyes.

I know that I will see him again,
Just when I didn't know...
To visit once more "The Keeper of the Isle...Malachi."
How I'd miss him so.
I'll carry on the lessons on land,
As he will in the Sea...always making sure his People return safely home.
Where they rightly deserve to be.

This is an extraordinary piece of work, Glo. Thank you for sharing it with us. Malachi sounds like someone I would love to know.
