Every word you say only makes it worse,
As you try to justify the night I found you with her.
Maybe if you never spoke a word,
It would be easier for me to swallow this.
But I find myself wondering,
Did I interrupt your kiss?

Your attempts to make it better,
Only brand you in the scarlet letter.
Maybe if you had left it alone,
We wouldn't have this problem,
Or I would have known.
But I find myself wondering,
Was that her on the phone?

Your heart, your excuse, locked behind wall after wall,
And all I wanted to know,
Was if I mattered at all.
Your reasons of logic like an alibi by your side,
Make me question your frustrations.
So I find myself wondering,

I Find Myself Wondering

Every word you say only makes it worse,
As you try to justify the night I found you with her.
Maybe if you never spoke a word,

But I find myself wondering,
