The worlds within others minds
To open our eyes and astound...

To question debatable issues,
Filter the truths they supposedly find,
And often poetry sits at the heart
Of showing the best inner-depths of mankind.

Often when I read poetry,
Here as in other places,
I don't just look to see
Grammatical quality,
Or imagine different faces...

When I read of your lives,
Even fictional roles,
I see portions and slices,

Your poem made me think ....as all too often I get bogged down in having to make it flow and rhyme .... and yet what you say is so true - "For poetry is a location, where we are guided around the worlds within others minds, to open our eyes and astound" ... that's what poetry is all about.

This poem is so very true, and when I read this poem it changed the way I look at poetry. I don't think I'll ever pick at the flow or grammer in a poem again.

Another great write! To me, if a poem can touch you, leave you feeling the way the writer did, then it's good.....if it leaves a lasting impression on the reader...then it's excellent!
