I was going to say what Overstated said!

If you're swamped in melancholy because she's only memories now, then this really is a beautiful, sad piece, but either way it really touches me - in a sadly yearning, choked-up kind of way.

Poignant piece of work. Emotions clearly stated and felt deeply. I have missed you and your work and I welcome you back home.

Your write herein captures to me at least a state that we often enter into cued by whatever it is that triggers our need to slip into the timelessness of our memories. Sometimes of pain and other times of laughter this tracing of the pasts that we often fall into especially remembering lost sorrows... I too sometimes fall into this state...to remember old times and days gone by...like that first love...that happy laughter or those rare pearls of tears.. to this day I too still remember my first love... she no longer holds power over my but those memories can be unnerving at times... of this event you have captured here briefly in your write. Quite nice i would say.

"Wide awake or fast asleep... on that special cue I would fall in state...into that dream of what was before..into that gentle clasp of distant memories.."
