Sun shinning on the green grass
Picture day for some, time to go home for me
Hanging out with an expired friend on the track
A brown-haired girl comes up with a smile like I’ve never seen
She’s glowing like a clad of a thousand night sky stars
Not knowing who I was, she began to laugh with me, make jokes
Seemingly like we were friends from the sandbox
Maybe even known each other some other time besides right now
Something was different about this brown-haired girl
Something I have never experienced before until that day
Someone so kind and true to herself that I was in awe
She’s the kind that just knowing her you will never be alone
Never feel anger, hate, or disappointment by her hands
Only joy, happiness, and devotion every second that she is around
We got to talk for a few minutes that seemed to go like only a few seconds
Then she was off to get her picture taken with her team
From there on she has been the silver lining, the light at the end of the tunnel
We have had our ups and downs, never letting them keep us down
I know she will always be there for me, and I hope she knows the same
This girl is the kind that never judges and always forgives without question
Seeing her rosey cheeks with those eyes that can see a person’s soul
She’s a friend for life, a sister nonetheless
I will never forget the day we met on that…
